Are you interested in working in a doctor’s office, clinic, or health care facility? As a Medical Assistant you will be equipped with the ability to complete health histories, take vital signs, administer medications, perform simple lab tests, EKGs, and document clinical care. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible to obtain national certification from the National Healthcare Association as a certified Clinical Medical Assistant.

Industry Certification:
Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to obtain national certification with National Healthcareer Association (NHA) in the following:
- Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- EKG Technician (CET)
- Electronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technicial (CPT)
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

Each Southwest Tech Certificate Program has an Occupational Advisory Committee that consists of industry professionals from the regions we serve.
