The Pharmacy Technician program at Southwest Technical College trains you for counting, preparing, and stocking medications for a variety of scenarios. Pharmacy Technicians work in hospitals, retail pharmacies, medication manufacturing, research labs, and rehab facilities. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible to obtain national certification from PCTB or EXCPT.

Cost: $2,625.50

Program Length: 600 Hours
This program can be completed in approximately 10 months, based on enrollment of 15 hours per week. If possible, students are encouraged to enroll in more hours per week to graduate faster.

Location: Main Campus – Health Professions and Trades Building

Program Outcome:
• Southwest Technical College Certificate of Program Proficiency

Industry Certification:
Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to obtain national certification from PCTB or EXCPT.

Disclaimer: Southwest Technical College will be seeking accreditation for the Pharmacy Technician program through ASHP. Candidate status will be awarded once a student has started the program, and a site visit will occur after at least one student has completed the program to determine if full accreditation status can be awarded. If the program is denied full accreditation status while a student is enrolled in the program, the student will be required to complete education in another program with no assurance of how many credits will transfer to the new program. If denied accreditation, Southwest Tech shall immediately notify enrolled students of the denial.
