SouthwestTech_Icon_EMTWith the completion of the Emergency Medical Technician Program, you are now prepared to advance your skills. The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Program at Southwest Technical College will consist of various settings including lectures, practical skills, ambulance ride-alongs, and clinical rotations within emergency room settings. The world of emergency medicine becomes a reality in this program as your mentor may allow you to administer medications, start IVs, or ventilate patients.  Students who successfully complete the program may sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians license.

Cost: $1,386.00

Program Length: 7 Credit Hours (Approximately 5 academic months.)

Location: Main Campus – Health Professions and Trades Building

Program Outcome:

  • Southwest Technical College Certificate of Program Completion

Industry Certification:

  • Upon successful completion of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician – AEMT Program, students are eligible to take the NREMT for Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT).
