Two administrators at Southwest Tech were recently recognized by Southern Utah University for their positive impact and influence on students. Tessa Douglas and Cordelle Morris were both recipients of the SUU Influencer Award. The SUU Influencer Award is exclusively nominated by students that answer the question, “Which faculty or staff member had the most positive impact on you during your SUU experience?”

Tessa Douglas currently works at Southwest Technical College in Cedar City, Utah as the Director of Dual Enrollment and Placement Services. Tessa plays a vital role in the partnership between Southwest Technical College and Southern Utah University. Tessa also served as the Assistant Director of Learning Abroad at Southern Utah University. Tessa shared, “I’m incredibly honored and grateful, especially because this award is based on student nominations. Thank you, SUU, and thank you to the students who I was honored to work with there.”

Cordelle Morris is the Director of Marketing and Recruiting at Southwest Technical College. Cordelle also is an adjunct professor in the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University teaching Digital Marketing. “It’s been a great opportunity to share and give exposure to students the marketing tools and tactics that I am implementing on a daily basis in my full-time job at Southwest Tech. It’s also great to play a part in the unique partnership between SUU and Southwest Tech,” stated Cordelle.
