Phlebotomy

The Phlebotomy Program at Southwest Technical College prepares the student through coursework and practicum to become certified in the National Healthcare Association as a Phlebotomist. Coursework and practicums prepare you to acquire the knowledge and skills to collect blood and other specimens for hospitals, blood banks, and other health care facilities.  With successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the Phlebotomy Technician Certification with the National Healthcare Association.

Students that take this course will receive a Southwest Tech medallion to wear during high school graduation. Students complete the adult certificate program by participating in the practicum after graduation.
