Medical Terminology

Medical Terminology presents a study of the basic medical terms and how they are used in the health care profession. Throughout the course, you will combine prefixes, suffixes, word roots, special endings, plural forms, and symbols to examine how these terms are joined together to create specific meanings. You will practice spelling, definition, and usage of these new concepts along with the acceptable abbreviations used in the industry. At the end of this course, you will be able to appropriately and safely employ the language of the medical occupation in your professional communications.

This course provides 60 hours towards the Medical Clinical Assistant Certificate Program.
