Vet Assistant

An introductory course to the field of Veterinary Assisting, including animal behavior, medical terminology, laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging, surgical prep and assisting, pharmacology, large and small animals as well as exotics. This course will build on itself throughout the whole school year. It is highly recommended that students who begin the class during the first quarter remain in the class through the end of the year, and students do not enter the class mid-school year. The course consists of lecture as well as hands-on skills labs.
