STECH Courses for Other High School Aged Students

Other High School Aged Students

Students that are high school aged can enroll in college courses at the campus at Southwest Tech.

In order to enroll at a program, students must meet the following age requirements and meet with an academic advisor to assure the student is ready to take college courses at Southwest Tech. To meet with an academic advisor, please click here. All programs below can be started each month (except for EMT and Nursing Assistant.)

Taking courses alongside other high school students:

The course schedule offered to Iron County high school students is built to accommodate their class periods. Therefore, all classes are allotted to local high schools for registration. If you are interested in taking classes alongside other high school students, these are your options:

  • Connect with a local high school counselor to see if there is room in their allotted schedule to enroll in the desired course.
  • Wait until after the semester has begun to see if there is any space in the course/program of choice. This is not common as many courses fill to capacity.
