On November 19, 2020, six of the finest students at Southwest Technical College were recognized for their amazing academic achievements. Each student was selected by their faculty for going above and beyond in the classroom and being a leader. The Southwest Tech Student Achievement Ceremony is usually a pinnacle event during the school year. Given the circumstances of COVID-19, Southwest Tech still desired to celebrate these outstanding students and still make it special. Participants, family, and friends were able to all gather together via Youtube and watch a live stream of the student highlight videos. At the conclusion of the live stream, Oscar Burgueno Jr. was announced as the overall Southwest Tech “Student of the Year.”
