Structural Steel and Pipe Welder
Are you looking for a hands-on profession filled with opportunity, new challenges, and room for creativity? Southwest Technical College’s Structural Steel and Pipe Welder Program launches you into in-depth welding techniques and skills. The coursework prepares you for a career in the welding industry in positions such as a welder, welding technician, welding inspector, pipefitter, structural metal worker, metal cutter, sheet-metal worker, or other allied trades.
Cost includes tuition, books, fees, and supplies.
Program Length: 1,330 hours (This program is designed to be completed in 21 academic months.)
Location: Main Campus – Health Professions and Trades Building

Occupational Advisory Committee
Each Southwest Tech Certificate Program has an Occupational Advisory Committee that consists of industry professionals from the regions we serve. These committee members ensure that desirable, relevant, and current practices of each occupation are being taught. This program has committee members from the following organizations:
